what to expect

At Fangtastic ultrasonic pet dental, we use advanced Emmi-pet dental products to provide silent, non-vibrating ultrasonic dentals. This innovative approach is perfect for addressing plaque and tartar build-up while safeguarding your pet's gums from disease.

Section 1: What to Expect During Your Session

1. The Initial Assessment We begin every first session with a "Meet & Greet." I will gently check your dog’s mouth to assess the level of tartar and check for any signs of loose teeth or infections that may require a vet’s attention first.

2. Settling In No "grooming restraints" here! We want your dog to be relaxed. We use positive reinforcement (and maybe a few licks of our tasty ultrasonic toothpaste) to make sure they feel safe.

3. The Ultrasonic Clean Using the silent emmi-pet brush, I will hold the bristles against your dog's teeth. There is no vibration, no noise, and no scrubbing. The ultrasound waves do all the work, killing bacteria and softening tartar.

4. Post-Session Review After the session, I’ll show you the progress made. Depending on the build-up, we may flake away softened tartar or schedule a follow-up "Maintenance" session to keep those pearly whites shining.

Section 2: Booking & Salon Policies

1. Cancellation & Rescheduling We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee of 20% of the service price.

2. Health & Safety (The "Vet First" Rule)The Emmi-pet is a preventative cosmetic service, not a medical procedure. If I find signs of advanced periodontal disease, loose teeth, or bleeding gums, I will stop the session and recommend a veterinary consultation. We will never perform work that causes a dog pain.

3. Temperament Policy While the Emmi-pet is ideal for nervous dogs, for the safety of both the pet and the specialist, we cannot treat dogs with a history of biting or extreme aggression. Please let us know in advance if your dog is particularly anxious.

4. Individual Brush Heads To maintain the highest hygiene standards, each dog is required to have their own personal emmi-pet brush head. A one-time fee of [Insert Price] will be added to your first session, and I will keep your dog's brush head in a sterile container for all future visits.

session guide

How many sessions does my dog need?

The number of sessions depends entirely on your dog’s current dental health. During our initial "Consultation" we will assess your dog’s mouth and recommend one of the following paths:

1. The "Maintenance" Plan (1 Session)

  • Best for: Puppies or dogs with already clean teeth and healthy pink gums.
  • Goal: To prevent the build up of plaque and keep breath fresh.
  • Frequency: Every 4 to 8 weeks (depending on diet and breed).

2. The "Plaque Clearing" Package (3–5 Sessions)

  • Best for: Dogs with visible yellowing, mild tartar build-up, or "doggy breath."
  • Goal: To break down the bacterial biofilm and lift away early-stage tartar.
  • Frequency: Sessions should be booked 7–10 days apart for maximum effectiveness until the teeth are clear.

3. The "Restoration" Plan (5+ Sessions)

  • Best for: Older dogs or breeds prone to dental issues (like Chihuahuas, Spaniels, or Yorkies) with heavy, dark brown tartar.
  • Goal: Ultrasound waves need time to penetrate thick calculus. We work gradually to soften the tartar so it can be removed safely without stress.
  • Frequency: Twice a week for the first 2 weeks, then moving to a monthly maintenance schedule.

Important Note for Owners:

Because the Emmi-pet is non-invasive and doesn't use "force," removing years of tartar build-up is a process, not a one-time event. Think of it like a human wearing braces—it takes a series of sessions to see the final, perfect result!

For dogs with dental concerns

Our services are specifically designed for dogs showing signs of tartar and plaque buildup, as well as red gums which can indicate gum disease. We provide a gentle solution to improve their oral health.

Addressing common issues

We effectively tackle common dental problems such as tartar, plaque bacteria, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. Our ultrasonic method helps clean deep to prevent and alleviate these conditions.

The unique Emmi-pet difference

Unlike traditional methods, our Emmi-pet dental procedure involves no scrubbing, no sound, and no vibration, making it a stress-free experience for your pet and highly effective against dental issues.

Healthier gums

Our gentle ultrasonic cleaning promotes healthier gums by targeting the bacteria that cause inflammation and gum disease, leading to a noticeable improvement in your pet's oral well-being.
